Weegee’s lives!^[1] Congrats to the former owners on their well-earned retirement and cheers to the new owners for not messing with the already-impeccable vibes. Looking forward to many more visits.

A few excellent nights on the town this week: dinner at il Carciofo (because you cannot keep me away from a Joe Flamm joint) and a Saturday night trip into the loop for dinner at The Gage, a show (Clue, which was more faithful to the movie than I imagined possible), and drinks at Cindy’s.

Started the weekend off right by absolutely destroying my tongue. I am an adult who has bitten his tongue many, many times before, but never with such gusto – drew blood and everything. Apparently this is just fine and my body will sort it out when it feels like it.

Feeling the itch to redesign this site again. Bigger text, better contrast and improved layout on very large and very small screens shouldn’t be too tricky. Images are still a mess, but I’ll figure it out. Watch this space…
